Marylaine became an award-winning writer when she was only 17, winning first prize in the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, a prestigious national writing contest in the Philippines. She became a journalist, media personality and a sought-after host/presenter, until she answered the call of the American Dream, migrating to the United States with a National Interest Waiver for Aliens of Extraordinary Ability. Mary is joyfully raising her family in Las Vegas, Nevada, while remaining steadfast in achieving her dreams, furthering her advocacies and writing for her column, Ah, Mary Can Dream!
